WordPress dashboard looks really different right now, but I’m glad all I gotta do is post lmao.

I’m sorry for not providing updates for like 3 months. Wtf really. No good reasons, but busy with other personal things. Got lazy at one point or another as well. When you hit your 20s, you start asking a lot of questions and making a lot of decisions, especially since the world’s in a sort of recession right now… lol. I didn’t wanna update and keep on saying “Almost done almost done!!” while I ran into every problem I had, so yeah lol.

I can’t promise anything, but I want to start this project before the year ends. It’s kind of ambitious right now since I’m really busy with last-minute holiday shopping (happens every year!! I never learn really…) and tidying up to welcome the new year with a clean house and a clean room lol. But when Christmas is over I will have time.

And by “start” the project, I mean just having a forum to post at. I have decided to use phpBB, and I hope that it shall mean well to most of you. I’ll slowly update the forum from the possible launch date, adding some cool modifications I can find.

I hope phpBB waffle will still be supported anyways. If not, whatever it will still be alive lol. See you there.

Oh and wtf w-inds.-less Kohaku will be so different I’m still watching tho lol

I sort of went AWOL for awhile back there. Well blame it on free HBO for the last few days Don’t worry the free HBO is over (so sad about this lol) so I can focus on other stuff again.

I got everybody’s comments in the previous post. Thanks again for the feedback. I see some familiar names and I remember you guys Hope we can all “hang out” at the forum again when it’s done.

The recovery of the old forum might take some time since Nyao seems busy. But we’ll move forward with the new one if u guys don’t mind. I finally figured out how to make skin sets for the forum (lol forum geek talk. I used to do that every month but somehow I forgot about it… I’m happy I resolved that issue since I was getting frustarted over it… I felt like that was holding me back. I might have to resort creating the first theme myself since I can’t reach Trish but yeah we’ll see.

Oh and I’m moving to a different host again since my current one has really small space (lol 75mb wtf). The new one is supposed to be very affordable and all the stuff’s almost free (so much space + unlimited bandwidth for like 2 double cheeseburgers). If they make us upgrade our subscription (like to a shared or some sh8t) when the forum gets too big (like what happened in the past…) it won’t be as expensive

So yeah pls keep on checking this blog for more updates in the future. I have a feeling I might successfully make it happen before the end of the month. Can’t wait really.

So far I’m receiving a lot of comments. Thanks for the support everybody!! Now I am motivated and at the same time pressured with this project lol. Anyways I have some updates.

Forum script installed + new domain
For now I got a free domain for the forum since the .org one expired I’m so sorry about that… Got busy and forgot it’s time to renew it last March. I’ll do my best to buy it back from the appropriate people tho.

Also I’m using the old script we used before. Although it is very outdated, we can start from here. I just installed it to see if it works with my new host. So far so good! I’m very happy with the results!

Need template help!!
I’m kind of making a temporary template for the forum. If you think u can do better and very confident of your mad graphic/layout skillz let me know and u might become the forum’s very own template editor(s) lol.

Need feedback on some things thanks
Ok so what I’m thinking of is starting fresh. That is although we did keep backups of the old forum, I was thinking more of creating a separate place for it. Honestly I think it’s kind of weird to start again from the old stuff if u get what I mean. Don’t really want to be stuck in the past lol. I think we can create better memories from now on.

So what will happen is we have the new forum, and we have the link to the old forum just for access. No more posting will take place in the old forum and you don’t have to log in. However for the protected forums (like guilds), if it works, we can still have the old members log in.

So I hope I can get feedback from this. I’m trying to really speed things up since I know myself as impulsive/spontaneous lol. I know having like 7 ppl commenting doesn’t seem like much but it’s a damn good sample number to me If u want to comment just to say you can help in some way or if you’re simply just excited (like most ppl) i would definitely appreciate it.

I’ll just start with little things like this. Rules/forum content/features/picking moderators will come later if you dont mind.

Alright so I decided to create this blog for the sole purpose of trying to bring back The wFL Forums, a somewhat popular forum back in the early 2000s dedicated to the non-JE Japanese idol groups, w-inds., FLAME, and Lead.

My name is Thea, and I took over the forums when Kyoko left like around 2004? I can’t really remember. Some of the newer fans might not remember me but I’ve been around the forum since it opened in mid-2003. I am aware Nyao was head admin when the forum had rocky times, and I’ve contacted Nyao about this plan to bring it back (yet to hear from her tho). We’ll see what happens when I hear from her.
Edit Nyao gave me the go So we’re going full speed!!
